Ideal Zebra Danio Conditions

  • Although this is not a very colorful tropical freshwater fish it is very easy to care for and thus a popular fish to start a new aquarium with.

Appearance

  • They have fairly dark blueish and golden stripes that run from the head to the tail horizontally over the body even over their fins.

Strata

  • They prefer to stay in the middle and especially the top regions of a fish tank.

Peaceful, Community

  • They are peaceful schooling fish which makes them ideal for a community aquarium setup either with other schooling fish or with pairs and individuals.

Breeding

  • If you are interested in breeding this is a excellent type of fish to start with. They are egg laying breeders and because of their hardiness they are very easy to breed with.
